
On the Brink: Overview of Current Research for CKD/ESRD Dietary Recommendations
Participants will increase their knowledge based on the most up to date research with regards to potassium, phosphorus, protein, and intradialytic meals. The learner will discover new developments in renal nutrition research, which may have important implications for patient management. This activity will consider traditional teaching practices that work well and examine others that may need to be revised.

Method of Participation:
Learners will review the materials on accreditation information, target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure information; complete the pre-test; review the video content; complete the post-test (minimum score of 70% required; learners will only have 3 attempts to pass the post-test) and evaluation to successfully earn credit.

Learning Objectives
After participation in this activity, learners will be better able to:
- Analyze the summary of research on potassium, phosphorus, protein, intake/IDPN and how this information can help improve patient care and outcomes.
- Review ongoing clinical trials related to phosphorus and potassium.
- Define teaching practices that work effectively and consider methods to modify in order to improve overall care of the CKD patient.
