Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer and is responsible for about 90% of all primary renal neoplasms. Additionally, RCC is associated with an increased risk for chronic kidney disease (CKD) and kidney failure. CKD in cancer survivors increases the long-term risk for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Significant advances in treating RCC have occurred within the past 10 years, including targeted therapies and multiple immuno-oncology (IO) agents.

NKF has been granted Joint Accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide accredited continuing education for the healthcare team.
