The Piedmont Kidney Transplant Seminar is designed to provide information and education to kidney professionals who work with potentially eligible kidney transplant patients. This activity is meant to highlight preferential treatment to kidney transplant as allowing for better outcomes and improved quality of life for kidney patients compared to other treatment modalities. The Piedmont Kidney Transplant Seminar highlights the transplant process conducted at Piedmont Mason Clinic and emphasizes new developments and methods to increase the number of patients receiving kidney transplants

Awarded 5.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education.


The National Kidney Foundation is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).  CDR Credentialed Practitioners will receive 5.0 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs) for completion of this activity/material.

Social Worker

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the National Kidney Foundation is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The National Kidney Foundation maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 5.0 continuing education credits.

Licensed social workers should contact their individual jurisdiction to review current continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.

Transplant Professionals 

The National Kidney Foundation is accredited as a provider of continuing transplant education by the American Board for Transplant Certification: CEPTC Provider Number #170. This activity is pending approval.
